Plugging in at a new campsite

Check the pedestal before you connect your RV.

Do this every time you arrive at a new site. It takes a minute and checks the pedestal before your RV is connected.

  1. Turn the pedestal breaker off.
  2. Plug in the Watchdog by itself, without your RV attached.
  3. Turn the pedestal breaker on.
  4. Look at the Watchdog:
    • Dog face is white: the power is good. Turn the breaker off, plug in your RV, then turn the breaker back on.
    • Dog face is red: there’s a problem. Read the code and look it up in Error codes. Tell the park.
    • Gen I (PWD30, PWD50): you want 3 green lights.
    • Nothing lights up: see The Watchdog doesn’t light up at all.
New park? Reset the energy meter

Tap Energy Reset in the app so the kilowatt-hour count starts from zero.

Doing electrical repairs?

Unplug the RV first. The Watchdog may turn power back on by itself.
